Sometimes hitting all these different events can be tough…
OK, maybe not with this particular one. But why was I surrounded by cute half naked boys? Well I was helping Cosmopolitan celebrate the arrival of summer of course. (all in a day’s work)
If you’ve popped into a shop lately, you may have noticed that their November edition comes with a cool Cosmo Summer supplement, covering everything you need for an oh-so-hot summer:
Didn’t know about it? Well then maybe you best get your butt to a store (and soon) to snap up a copy before it’s too late… For the guys out there: read “hot girls in bikinis” here – so maybe you should be a super nice boyfriend and buy your lady a copy, THEN you get to have a peek as well. It’s a win-win and you’re welcome.
Luckily the Mother City was playing along as it was a beautiful evening for a little beach side partying.
Guests were welcomed by JimmiJagga wine spritzers, a Revlon mani bar and cool tunes by Crazy White Boy along with Matthew Gold and later on Pascal & Pearce. It was certainly a nice way to wrap up the week.
Some of the sexy people on the scene included beautiful former Miss SA & business woman Cindy Nell* , Good Hope FM’s Tamsyn Lee Brown, TV & Radio personality Kia Johnson and actor/comedian/GQ style winner Siv Ngesi. Actually Siv HATES when I just do a quick mention like that. He prefers when I add things like “most awesomest guy ever”, “only friend I truly love”, etc. When actually what I really want to say is “annoying neighbour who ‘borrows’ kitchen supplies and never brings them back”. 😉 But I do love him… just don’t tell him I said so.
*BTW, did you know Cindy imports Catrice, Essence & other beauty brands into SA? She’s definitely a good lady to know…
It was a cool party setup for sure, my only complaint would be the food. Not that the food was bad, it just wasn’t very condusive to all the summer prep I’ve been trying to do. Let me show you what I mean:
LUCKILY my support undies were sooooooo freakin’ tight, I couldn’t eat anything in any case. Ha! (not that I didn’t try, but it hurt, a lot)
All ‘n all, this was a great way to say “hey summer, bring it on baby, we’re ready for you!”
So see you guys on the beach?
