I met Tracey, the lovely design powerhouse behind Made of Mettle jewellery at a recent media/blogger event. I immediately noticed the ring she was wearing (which was an absolute stunner) and demanded she tell me where she got it from… When she told me it was actually one of her own designs I just knew I had to do a feature here on Cape Town My Love.I love the sleek, modern look of her pieces as well as the unusual shapes and her use of bright colours. Tracey has actually just launched a new Accent Collection which comprises of various two-toned accent pieces. With this range Tracey incorporated colour-blocking, geometric lines & new two-toned colour combinations. Everything is beautifully handcrafted from sterling silver & other mixed materials, and the collection includes 5 signature ring shapes, each with a different accentuated angle, matching box-shaped earrings and pendants, as well as a line of men’s rings & cufflinks.
Her ladies and gents Accent rings are made from sterling silver and perspex, while the matching box-shaped earrings, pendants, rings and cufflinks are made from sterling silver and resin. Let’s take a look shall we:I want so many of those pieces… And I think they make for beautiful gifts as well.
