HQFineWining2017PostBoschendal Next Wed, 5 April 2017, HQ will be hosting another one of their Fine Wining dinners, this time partnering with Boschendal Wines.

Now I’ve been to a couple of these and there are two things that I can vouch for:

  1. The wine is always flowing
  2. It’s always a fun evening out

On the food front, guests get to enjoy a 3 course menu which has been carefully paired with wines from the Boschendal range.

This is what the menu looks like:

  • Aperitif
    Smoked Chicken & Vegetable Crunch Roll served with a chili, coriander and soy dipping sauce
    – Paired with Boschendal Brut Rose MCC NV
  • Starter
    A crisp salad of Cos and Iceberg leaves, toasted pine nuts,
    parmesan shavings and dressed with a Dijon mustard vinaigrette
    – Paired with Boschendal 1685 Sauvignon Blanc
  • Main
    250g Sirloin wet aged for 32 days and grilled perfectly medium-rare, served
    with skinny fries & Café de Paris Butter
    – Paired with Boschendal 1685 Merlot
    or
    (V) Portabella mushrooms stuffed with a rich Duxelle, gratinated with parmesan cheese and served with skinny fries & Café de Paris Butter
    – Paired with Boschendal 1685 Merlot
  • Dessert
    Coconut Rum Panna Cotta, Chilled Berry consommé and Orange Biscotti
    – Paired with Boschendal Blanc de Noir 2016

It’s a great date night option or why not make it a more-the-merrier affair by inviting friends and family along.  Bookings are essential though, as seats are limited, so don’t take too long to decide.
