Right people, it’s time to look into that wardrobe of yours, pull aside your best pair of stretchy pants, and prepare for the big eat… Restaurant Week kicks off on 24 Oct and will run to 3 Nov and you’re not gonna want to miss out.
If you’ve never heard of Restaurant Week before, as they put it, it is: “Fine dining at the best for less.”
Basically top restaurants sign up to participate, and during Restaurant Week, they offer special menus at special set prices, which allows you to come in and experience their cuisine talents for less than you would usually pay.
Just look at some of the amazing things I got to shovel down last year:
But how does it work exactly?
- Pay only R95 for a 2 course lunch or R175 for a 3 course dinner (however, there are some star rated restaurants which will have an additional R50 charge)
- You have to make your reservation online via the Restaurant Week website. But it’s very simple. Just 3 steps required:
Reservations are free of charge AND you can easily change / delete them online too.
- Seats are limited though, so you have to act fast if there’s a particular restaurant you have your eye on.
- Also, the menus are secret till you get there. So make sure you mention any allergies, things you don’t eat or the fact that your vegetarian, etc. in the “Remarks” field on the booking form.
I really loved my Restaurant Week experiences last year and I’m sure you guys will love it too…
Happy eating everyone.
