Dinner & movie nights with the Pepperclub

by Karisa

Wanna spice up your date nights?  Well cuddling up to one another in an intimate 29 seater cinema with big comfy red leather chairs after a tasty dinner sounds pretty good right…  Of course it does.

Well you’re in luck, because the Pepperclub Hotel & Spa has just launched a new dinner & movie special which will be happening every Friday night.

For R120 per person you will enjoy a one course dinner at the hotel’s Sinatra’s restaurant paired with a glass of red or white wine, and followed by a movie in their very comfy Odeon Cinema with a box of popcorn for each to snack on.

For the dinner you have two choices*:

  • Grilled beef rump served with French fries, pecorino rocket salad & red wine jus
  • OR Pan fried linefish served with French fries, side salad & tartare sauce
    * A variety of starters and desserts are also available, but just at an additional cost

Now I got to test drive this new dinner & movie experience last week when they showed one of my favourite movies of all time – Love Actually (seriously, how amazing is that movie).  And even though I don’t have a special someone in my life at the moment, my fantastic friend Clayton stood in as my hot date and he had an absolutely amazing time.

Dinner at Sinatra’s – I went for the steak…  so did Clayton.  It was very good.

It was a bit too dark on the night for my click-and-go camera, so I thought I’d also throw in this pro pic of the restaurant to give you a better feel for the setting.  Pretty right?

And then my photo of the Odeon cinema came out all blurry, but luckily they were able to send me this great shot.  It was so cosy in there.  Definitely way nicer than any regular cinema.

Now you’re probably thinking, but what movies are still on the schedule?  Well seeing as the month of Feb is all about Valentine’s Day and romance, the theme is “All you need is love”, and over the next few weeks you can check out the following movies:

  • Fri, 14 Feb:  The Notebook
  • Fri, 21 Feb:  The Great Gatsby
  • Fri, 28 Feb:  Moulin Rouge

Then March’s theme will be “Best of Bond which will showcase some classic James Bond movies. (something to appease the boys after all those romance films hey 😉 )

For reservations:

Oh and if you’re worried about parking in town, don’t stress, cause they also offer complimentary secure, undercover parking which means you don’t have to worry about a thing.

And hey, even if you’re a sad fabulous single like me, rope in a friend.  It’s still a fun night out regardless.

xxx
