Quiz Nights in Cape Town

Fancy yourself a bit of a know-it-all?  Do you wipe the floor with your friends during a heated game of 30 seconds?

Well then Quiz Nights are definitely for you.

Put your brain power to the test either every 2nd Monday of each month over at the Woodstock Lounge or join the gang over at the Beerhouse on Long St starting this eve and happening every 2nd week thereafter.

The question categories are as follows:

• History
• Geography
• Science & nature
• Arts & literature
• Music (songs are played and players need to guess the artist or the movie that the song came from)
• Guest category (this category changes every week and ranges from African countries and world flags to “guess that moustache” and “famous Steves” like Steve Carrel or Steven Tyler)
• Film & media
• General knowledge

Then an EXTRA category for Beerhouse only:  How well do you know your beer?  Expect all kinds of beer-related questions here…

Spot prizes are handed out throughout the night and the ultimate winners also walk out with some really cool treats (and bragging rights of course).  Teams can be anything from 1 – 6 members, so if you have some brainy friends, be sure to bring them along too.

Here are the need-to-knows:

• Time:  7pm to 9pm
• Cost:  R20 per person & you pay at the venue on the night
• Bookings:  For Woodstock Lounge – book your seat by calling 021 448 3338 & for Beerhouse – no bookings required, just pitch up.

I also suggest making a proper night of it by grabbing some food & wine/beer while you’re there.  After all, you’re going to need brain fuel right? (dunno about you, but wine definitely helps me think)
