Dalin Oliver’s Face For Radio – now showing at Baxter Theatre until 9 Sep

by Karisa

I dunno about you guys, but I really love stand-up comedy.  I mean, what’s not to love about a good dose of laughter therapy, right?

If you’ve been running low on laughs or just want a good energy recharge, I highly recommend that you check out Dalin Oliver’s new stand-up comedy show called Face for Radio which is directed by Stuart Taylor (another SA comedy great) and currently showing at the Baxter Theatre‘s Golden Arrow Studio until 9 September.  I went to go check it out on Tuesday evening and really had a great time.

Some of you may know Dalin as the Sports Presenter on Good Hope FM’s Breakfast show, hence the title of the show, but outside of this radio career he’s become a well-known comedy name who’s debut one man show, I came, I Taught, I left, was a sold out success.

In Face for Radio Dalin tells of his struggles of trying to adapt to “adulting”, a concept no one warned him about.  It also features some hilarious stories from his childhood that I’m sure many of you will be able to relate to.  I certainly did.

The show is about 70min long and runs Mon – Sat at 8:30pm (with 2 special performances today & next Saturday at 5pm).  Ticket prices range from R100 – R120 & tickets can be purchased via Computicket over here.  Book it, book it now!
