Therefore I was very excited to hear about Durbanville Hills‘ new Table Mountain Experience.
I mean what could be better than visiting our beautiful Table Mountain while enjoying a glass (or two) of top quality wine?
But how does it work?
There are two options:
- A visit to Table Mountain, a stroll along the top & descent by cable car followed by a tasting of their Rhinofields Sauvignon Blanc, Rhinofields Pinotage, Durbanville Hills Merlot Rosé and Durbanville Hills Sauvignon Blanc at a look-out point overlooking the city along with a little cheese pairing. Cost: R130 pp – but that just excludes your cable car tickets (available Mon – Thu with collection between 8:00 and 08:45, and drop-off again between 12:30 and 13:15)
- A visit to Durbanville Hills Wines with a tasting of 8 wines or a biltong & wine pairing. Their wine farm is only about 20min away from the city centre, but because of its location right on top of Durbanville’s hills, you get some amazing views of Table Mountain. You can also sit in their outdoor seating area and enjoy their indigenous renosterveld garden. Cost: R200 pp (available on Fridays only with collection between 8:30 and 9:15 and drop-off again between 12:30 and 13:15)
For bookings, you can contact Henri Bruce on 076 788 4992. They usually collect from select guest houses and hotels in and around the Cape Town, but Henri can also accommodate other collection points based on your booking. So that means both these options are perfect for both tourist & locals alike.
Cheers to that!
