I recently checked out the much talked about Sunday Brunch at the Pot Luck Club. Basically this is the deal:
- Served every Sunday from 11am (you can book any arrival time that suits – but I would suggest starting at 11am if you can)
- R400 pp with the option of an additional R200 pp for bottomless bubbles & Bloody Marys.
- And then you get a selection of 13 dishes served on platters, some of which feature on their regular menu, while others are unique to the brunch menu.
Sounds good right? Of course it does…
This is what the menu looks like:And then we definitely opted for the bottomless bubbles:
Which also includes access to their self-service Bloody Mary station:
The food portions are small & you may get nervous at first. But remember, there are 13 dishes in total and they definitely add up to a solid meal. Let me show you what it all looked like: Trust me… this is one of the best ways to spend a Sunday… like seriously…I loved every single dish, couldn’t fault anything, and on the bubbles side I think I only managed 4 glasses in the end, but if I had paid by the glass it would have been way more than the R200. So that was a good deal too.
I happily give the Pot Luck Club brunch a top score of on my Miss K Kiss-o-Meter scale. Would definitely love to do it again sometime.
Just be sure to book way ahead of time as they fill up quickly. To do so you can use their online booking service over here. You will need to put down a R200 deposit per person.
Looks like they’re already full for Oct/Nov and they haven’t opened up bookings yet for December. So keep those eyes peeled people. As soon as you see a spot, book it! (Even if you only manage to get a booking in the new year – it’s worth the wait)
