Don’t miss the next HQ Fine Wining dinner with Creation Wines this Wed, 6 Jun

by Karisa

I’ve been to a couple of Fine Wining dinners at HQ and one thing I can say it that it’s always a fun night out. It also happens to be crazy good value – I mean a 3 course meal paired with wines, a welcome drink & canapes upon arrival for only R295 pp??  It’s definitely a pocket-friendly way to have a great evening out with that special someone or even a group of your bestest friends.

The last one I attended was at the beginning of May where they collaborated with Cederberg Wines & Cederberg Brewery (yup, we even got an extra beer tasting that night), but this month’s Fine Wining is equally exciting as they’ve partnered with one of my favourite wine estates, Creation Wines.

A big cheers to some Fine Wining!

Have always loved this venue…

I’m a girl who would never say no to a steak dinner… add Café de Paris Butter sauce and I’m yours for life 😉

This is what this month’s menu looks like:

Creation Elation MCC NV infused Warm Pickled Oyster Served with Cucumber sake, Broth Pickled Shallots Sea Pearls, Spicy Apple Foam finished off with a Spicy Syrup.

Creation Elation MCC NV

A crisp salad of Cos and Iceberg Lettuce, toasted Pine Nuts, Parmesan Shavings and Dressed with a Dijon Mustard Vinaigrette.

Creation Chardonnay 2017

250g Sirloin Wet-Aged for 32 days and Grilled perfectly Medium-Rare, served with skinny fries & Café de Paris Butter.

Creation Reserve Merlot 2015

(V) Portabella mushrooms stuffed with a rich Duxelle, Gratinated with Parmesan Cheese and served with Skinny Fries & Café de Paris Butter.

Creation Reserve Merlot 2015

Milk Chocolate Cremeaux; Star Anise Shortbread; Black Olive; Pomegranite; Liquorice bubble.

Syrah Grenache 2016

Sounds awesome, right?  There are still a couple of tables left, but you’ll need to hurry if you want to grab one of those spots.  Contact HQ on 021 424 6373 or to book your seat.

Things will kick off at 7pm and there’s even some pre-dinner entertainment by swing sensation Ricky Botsis to help set the mood.

Can’t make this Wednesday? (Or if they sell out before you have secured your spot)  Then don’t stress, these Fine Wining evenings happen once a month.  Here’s  a look at their future dates so you can diarise them so long:

  • 4 July – Plaisir de Merle
  • 1 August – (TBC)
  • 5 September – Ernie Els Wines
  • 3 October – Ken Forrester Wines
  • 7 November – Diemersdal Wine Estate
