Make the Harringtons Haunted Cinema your Halloween party of choice (PLUS a chance to win tickets!)

by Karisa

I know there’s quite a few Halloween party options floating around at the moment, but the one I think you should be seriously looking at is The Haunted Cinema on Harrington Street taking place this Saturday, 26 October 2019… why? Because I attended this party last year and it was AWESOME… Like think multiple dance floors, actors walking around scaring the living daylights out of you, terrifying sets and decor & everybody getting in on the dress up game…

Me & my crew at last year’s jol… that’s me, front right doing my best Wednesday Addams impersonation. My shirt says: “I hate everything”. 😉

This year they’re going even bigger & better with a monstrous movie-festival-esque celebration that’s set to make your skin crawl…

Halloween party-goers are encouraged to take on the personas of their most frightening movie characters, and then to arrive ready to wander through a maze of some of the most haemophobia-inducing movie scenes at this year’s Haunted Cinema.

But not only does a good fright (or two) await you, there’s also a superb line-up of local and International DJ’s over three dance floors, featuring different tempos to keep the party going until 4AM.

Here’s a highlights package of what to expect:

  • Awesome line-up of local and International DJ’s
  • Additional guest stage called “A kind of magic Darkroom” cinema – there’s an additional cost for this one.
  • 3 Haunted Interactive cinematic areas where the viewer becomes the prey…
  • A horror makeup photo booth.
  • Drink specials available all night.
  • AND receive a complimentary welcome drink on arrival if you dress up!

  • Tickets are available via Quicket over here.
  • General access (which covers access to Harringtons & Surfa Rosa) is R200 pp.
  • All cinema access (which also includes the 3rd dancefloor – “A Kind of Magic” at District) is R250pp.

But there’s also a chance to win..

You see I have 2 x Double General Access Passes (which covers both Harringtons & Surfa Rosa) to give away to 2 lucky Cape Town My Love readers (so that’s 2 tickets for each winner).

To be in the running, simply complete the following 2 steps:

  1. Share my Facebook post (which links back to this blog post) with your friends on Facebook (I’ll pin it to the top of my FB page so it’s easy to find)
  2. Leave a comment here on this blog post – in the comments section below (or on my Facebook post if you wish) telling me what your scariest movie character of all time is.

Entries will close at midnight on Thu, 24 Oct & the winners will be announced on Fri, 25 Oct on Facebook (and I’ll also append the winner’s names to this post).

Just take note of the following T&Cs:

  • Only one entry per person.
  • The winners will be determined by lucky draw (you just need to complete both steps as noted above).
  • There will be 2 winners walking away with 2 tickets each.
