Tried & Tested: Tiffany Marx Inspired Jewellery

I discovered Tiffany Marx and her gorgeous jewellery about 2 years ago at the Lawns Market at The Roundhouse while I was shopping for a gift for a friend’s 40th birthday. I didn’t really know what I was looking for at the time, but when I set eyes on her seed pod earrings I knew they were just too special to put down again and I hoped that my friend would love them as much as I did.

The range includes earrings (both studs & drop earring styles), stackable rings and delicate neck pieces – both in sterling silver & bronze. I really love that it’s a piece of South Africa that you can carry around with you wherever you go…

The even bigger selling point is that the lady behind these pieces is as beautiful, both inside & out, as the carefully considered designs that she creates.

Since that first meeting (and seed pod earring purchase – which my friend loved btw), she’s also designed a stunning engagement ring for close friends of mine. Feast your eyes on this 18ct Rose Gold Solitare beauty with a out-of-this-world Oval Morganite stone:

I love the simplicity. I love how perfectly the rose gold pairs with the morganite. I basically just love everything about this ring.

But yeah, not only does she make gorgeous ready-to-wear pieces, she also does custom designs with anything from engagement rings to gifts-from-you-to-you. Here’s a quick look at a few more custom pieces that she’s done:

The earrings on the left & bottom right can be worn as you see them in these photos, or as separate pieces, making them super versatile. I also really love those silver earring top right & that ring middle right is just such a great statement piece. #DecisionsDecisions

Now usually you can pop into the Watershed Market in the V&A Waterfront to check out her designs in person, but of course due to the lockdown that’s not currently possible and it’s had quite a significant impact on her business & her ability to support her amazing all-female team.
