Suffer from gluten sensitivity? Give Mom ‘n Ty’s Gluten-free products a try

If you’re someone who can’t do gluten, or you know someone who battles to find great gluten-free options, listen up… because the guys over at Mom ‘n Ty’s Gluten-free Bakery & Mini Market have got you covered.

This awesome little family-run business makes tasty gluten-free pizza bases, wraps, pastas & more.  I popped in recently to have a look around and also to give some of their products a try.  Now I have to be clear,  I do not have any issues with gluten myself, but I do know of a few people who do and therefore I knew this would be something a lot of people would find interesting.

Mom ‘n Ty’s operate from a small space within the Platinum Junction business park in Milnerton (near Sable Square), and you can tell that these guys are really passionate about making the best gluten-free products possible.  When I asked them how the idea came about, they said it was inspired by someone in their family who couldn’t have any gluten, and the rest as they say is history.

Currently they don’t keep a lot of stock over at the mini market, because they prefer to make products fresh to order.  You can order any of the following directly from them:

• Gluten-Free Pasta 500g (Lasagna | Fettuccine) – R50.00

They’re also currently looking at stocking the major retail chains, so hopefully soon you’ll see them in a Spar or Pick ‘n Pay near you (but I’ll keep you guys updated on that – will likely only happen in 2015).  Until then, do give them a try.  I was very happy with the products I got to test, even though I don’t have any gluten specific dietary requirements.  It’s all very fresh & tasty.
