I’m gonna sound like my gran now… but where has this year gone? Last time I looked it was new year’s and all that excitement and now we’ve got the Design Indaba Expo just around the corner?! #Crazy
Taking place once again at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, the Design Indaba is all about celebrating African design and they want to see your faces there.
The expo element of the Design Indaba (which is open to the public of course) will be taking place over 3 days:
- Friday, 27 February, 2015 – 10:00 to 20:00
- Saturday, 28 February, 2015 – 10:00 to 20:00
- Sunday, 1 March, 2015 – 10:00 to 18:00
Tickets range from R50 for children (10 to 18 yrs old), to R60 for pensioners & students and R80 for adults. (Kids under 10 get FREE entry), and can be purchased at the door or online over here.
Also do have a look over here for more information about all the exhibitors as well as the various activities that’ll also be taking place. I’ve attended religiously the last few years and I can honestly say that I’ve left there every year feeling proud and inspired. We have some amazing creatives coming up with some really innovative and beautiful ideas; and the Design Indaba is proof that we certainly don’t have to stand back to the rest of the world.
For those who love a good film, there’s also a film fest happening over at The Labia which actually kicks off today:
13 feature films & documentaries covering topics from hip hop, architecture & comics to fashion, art & photography have been carefully selected to inspire & entertain you, with many of these actually being shown on the African continent for the very first time.
