I think it’s safe to say that I’m definitely a jeans girl… it’s my go to fashion staple, no matter what the occasion, and I have more pairs than I’d like to admit… So when Cotton On invited me to come and check out their new The Wanted denim range last week, it was an easy hell yeah.
The name “The Wanted” is a play on the most wanted denim styles out there at the moment. The guys & girls at Cotton On spent quite a bit of time researching hot denim trends, finding the best denim fabrics, and playing around with different fits to create this new range which features 6 different men’s and 8 different women’s styles.
For their campaign, they’ve used hot, young creatives from musicians and artists to photographers & poets to show the broad-spectrum appeal of these new styles:
And at the launch (which took place at their V&A Waterfront store), we were given some insight into how each different style came about, before they let us loose to try them on for ourselves…

I usually gravitate towards skinny styles & jeggins, so that’s what I decided to try on. What struck me immediately was how soft & comfy the denims are. If you’re a skinny fan like me, you’ll know that if the denim’s too hard/stiff, you’re in for a very long & painful day. These are super snug while still giving you lots of movement, and in the end it was a really tough choice as to which ones I wanted to take home with me:
I really loved the dark blue acid wash jeggings on the left, but because I already have a few dark denim options at home, I decided to go with the gray acid wash jeggings I’m wearing bottom center. A little fashion birdy told me that this acid wash look is going to be huge for autumn/winter… so I’m passing that little tip on to you guys as well.
