This literally just popped into my Inbox… and had be drooling within seconds… so I just knew I had to share. La Mouette in Sea Point has just launched their new Winter Tasting Menu. This is what’s on the cards:
6 courses for only R295 (or R495 with wines)
- Winter Snacks
Duck parfait, home cured duck ham, boerenkaas croquettes, pear and quince chutney - Celeriac soup
Truffle dressing, salt baked celeriac, pickled apple and king mushrooms - Beetroots and goats cheese
Hantam goats cheese, ash rind, pine nuts, hay infused beetroot dressing and beetroot leaf tempura - Charred sole and parsnips
Charcoal mayonnaise, onion ash, triple cooked parsnips and umami vinaigrette

Confit egg yolk, chestnuts, parmesan crumbs and brown butter - Cured trout Marinière
