My review of the new look Heavenly Spa at The Westin

The Heavenly Spa (located on the 19th floor of The Westin Cape Town) has been one of my favourites for quite some time now.

It simply can’t be beat if you’re looking for some blissful pampering with a kick-ass view…

But, they’ve recently undergone a little bit of a revamp & I paid them a visit just before I jetted of to Zanzibar (which I’ll be telling you about in upcoming weeks for sure) to check it out.

Now they’ve sadly done away with their waterbed relaxationg room (which I loved), but they’ve replaced it with a super chic mani & pedi area which gives them a little more space to assist more ladies in desperate need of some TLC.

Then their waiting area & central relaxation areas have also received a sexy new look, and their pool, which has always been one of the most impressive in Cape Town, is still there ready for you to dive in.

Let me give you a quick tour:

Over and above their new look, they’ve also partnered with Black Pearl – a luxurious and innovative range of mineral-enriched skin care products which recently became available in SA.

Their spa menu, which you can view over here, consists of signature spa experiences, massages, body treatments, facial treatments, essential care for hands & feet, waxing, and various packages.

I was there for their Heavenly Spa Signature Massage (R595) and a Gelish Spa Pedicure (R450) to get my tootsies into tip-top island shape.

To make you feel as comfy as possible, you’re given a super fluffy gown (which has a hoodie – not sure why that makes it cooler, it just does) and slippers.

And while slipping these on you can take in the beautiful views from their elegant changing rooms:

I have to say they made me feel super welcome and at ease from the moment I arrived.  Their team is warm & friendly and the overall feel of the spa is luxurious and elegant.  My massage was heavenly (excuse the pun) and my perfectly french manicured feet where the envy of everyone at the Fumba Beach Lodge where I stayed in Zanzibar. 😉
