Firstly, apologies for being quiet of late… I’ve had way too much on my plate work wise & then I’m leaving for Afrikaburn very early tomorrow morning, so been a lot of prep work that’s gone into ensuring that I don’t die in the desert over the next 5 days…. I promise to be back in the swing of things after I get back on 2 May – eating & drinking my way through Cape Town as per usual. 😉
But for now, the great news is that we have another awesome looooong weekend coming up and if you’ve been looking for things to do, I can highly recommend the SA Cheese Festival, particularly if you’re a lover of the sometimes stinky, sometimes gooey, always tasty good stuff…
Taking place from 30 April to 2 May at Sandringham in Stellies, the festival not only features the largest variety of cheese you’ll ever see, but also tasty things that pair well with your favourite cheeses, a great selection of wines, food demonstrations, food stalls and live entertainment.
Tickets are available via Computicket online over here (or at any Computicket outlet, Shoprite or Checkers store) at R150 per day. Senior citizens pay R100 and children 13 years and younger enter for FREE.
The festival times are from 10:00 to 18:00 daily, and Sandringham is located next to the N1, exit 39, between Cape Town and Paarl.
Saturday’s session is already sold out & no tickets will be sold at the gate – so you better hurry up & snag your spot for either Sunday or Monday (which of course is a public holiday).
Come on people, get your cheese on! (you know you want to)
