Anybody up for an Adrenaline Adventures 10km trail run on Sunday at Cape Point Vineyards?

This Sunday I’m going to be doing my first ever trail run (with the hopes of not dying in the process of course)…

Not only have I never done a trail run before, but I’ve never covered a running distance of more than 5km (my Saturday morning Park Run ritual) and this one is 10km.  Eeeek.

But hey, life’s all about challenging yourself, right? So I’m nervous, but also very excited to see how I do.

But the best part is:  If you want to join me (and watch me suffer), you can!

The run’s being coordinated by the awesome team from Adrenaline Adventures and is taking place at the beautiful Cape Point Vineyards.

Entry cost is only R150 pp and includes a coffee and a light breakfast catered by the Cape Point Vineyards Restaurant on registering before the start of the race.

Registration will kick off at 07:00am at the Cape Point Vineyards Restaurant where runners will collect their race numbers.  (Registration will close promptly at 07:45am)

The 10km trail run starts outside of the restaurant and heads straight in with an incline into the gorgeous vineyards. With a few odd climbs, the route makes its way around the entire property giving our runners a fair view of what Cape Point Vineyards has in store. The course is looped, so if runners wish to stop after 5km they can do so. The 5km mark will therefore be where the race starts and finishes (ie. outside the restaurant).
