The 2nd stop on my #DoStellies adventure was Uva Mira Moutain Vineyards. Their location on the slopes of the Helderberg Mountain range, 620 meters above sea level, is what makes this this vineyard extra special.
Their tasting room is aaaall about the views. On a sunny day you can sit outside, but inside is really just as beautiful…
This cosmic link is also carried through to their wine label which I fell in love with instantly:
Their wines are beautiful overall, but I particularly enjoyed their Chardonnay & their Merlot:As far as wine tasting options go, you can:
- Enjoy a selection of three wines from the Mira Series at R50
- Or do the Mira Tasting which includes four wines from the Mira Series at R70
Then you simply HAVE to try their artisanal cheese platter. Just look at this:

That bread was hands down the best bread I’ve had all year… Leigh and I polished this platter in no time, smiling from ear-to-ear of course…
Uva Mira is open daily from 10am to 6pm. But if you’re wanting to sit down for a platter, reservations are highly recommended.
To book a table – you can contact them on +27 21 880 1683 or info@uvamira.co.za. And then you’ll find them off Annandale Road in Stellenbosch, but you’ll find exact directions over here.
Food & wine lovers will thoroughly enjoy this experience, that I’m sure of.
