Last week I once again got to join the team from Come Wine With Us for one of their awesome food & wine evenings. This time the location was the ultra-sexy new Vista Marina in the V&A Waterfront (right behind the Two Oceans Aquarium) and the wine was provided by Durbanville Hills who also introduced us to their all new Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc. #YayForBubbles
Let me set the scene with a few pics…

Now let’s get down to the food & wine… On the cards for the evening was a 3 course dinner which had been carefully paired with a selection of Durbanville Hills’ finest wines:
And this is what it looked like:

This was the first course which was a fresh salad consisting of buffalo mozzarella cheese, tomato mousse, confit tomatoes, tomato water gel, basil pesto crumble & balsamic cream paired with Durbanville Hills Chenin Blanc.

The main course which was a juicy marinated rump espetada, served with Mediterranean vegetables, grilled olive bread served & a bordelaise bone marrow jus paired with Durbanville Hills Rhinofields Pinotage.

And for the final course we were treated to a mango and orange panna cotta with coconut tuilles & white chocolate star anise sauce paired with Durbanville Hills Merlot Rose.
