Lovin’ the new Mojo Market in Sea Point

by Karisa

One of my new favourite spots in Cape Town has to be the all new Mojo Market in Sea Point.

Open 7 days a week, this indoor market offers a great mix of both lifestyle & food stalls – 45 retail stalls, 25 food vendors and a daily fresh goods section – to be exact. (You can have a look at the full list of stalls & traders over here.)

They also have the Mojo Coffee Collective which showcases some of Cape Town’s best artisanal roasters alongside their own Mojo Blend.  So the caffeine addicts will be very happy indeed…

Then there’s FREE live music which kicks of every weekend at the following times:

Thursday Evening – 7.30pm
Friday Evening – 7.30pm
Saturday Lunch – 12.30pm
Saturday Afternoon – 3.30pm
Saturday Evening – 7.30pm
Sunday Lunch – 12.30pm

You can check out their weekly music line up on their Facebook Page.  The music definitely creates a great atmosphere while you’re digging into anything from pizza to oysters.  You can also grab a selection of drinks from the central bar, and voila! an awesome outing is made.

Let me show you around:

As you can see there’s lots of seating, both downstairs and upstairs.  These pics were taken this past Sunday eve and it was definitely a lot quieter than my previous visit which was on a Saturday eve, so just depends on when you decide to go.  This market will definitely be a popular choice on rainy/chilly winter days like today, that’s for sure.

So opening times?

  • The food stalls are open:  Mon – Sun, 10am to 10pm
  • The retail stalls are open:  Mon – Sun, 9am to 9pm
  • And then there are a couple of “Early bird” stalls which are open Mon – Sun, 7am to 10pm.  These include The Mojo Coffee Collective, Beetbox Organic Fruit & Vegetables & IYO Burgers.

And where do you find the Mojo Market?

  • 30 Regent Road, Sea Point, Cape Town

If you don’t have plans for this eve or tomorrow, I can definitely recommend that you check it out.
