Monday nights just got a whole lot better thanks to the Cape Town Magic Club

by Karisa

This past Monday I did something I’ve actually never done before… I went to go watch a live magic show! How did this come about?  Well the awesome folks from the Cape Town Magic Club dropped me a line and asked me to come and check out their Season 5 launch.  I know right, season 5?!  How did I not know about this before…

The Cape Town Magic Club has been bringing magic of all kinds to Cape Town audiences since its inception in 2016.  Season 5 has found a new home within The Vault of Taj Cape Town – a building that comes with a little historical magic of its own…

They’ve created the most awesome little 50-seater theatre in this underground bank vault which really creates the perfect backdrop for all things magical… think illusions, sleight of hand, mentalism, escape artistry, mind-boggling card tricks and more, with an added special appearance from the talented ladies at Black Orchid Burlesque SA.

Here are a couple of photos from Monday night’s show to help set the scene:

With a line-up of almost 30 magicians, every show will be different, even the early & late shows happening on the same night.  Guests can expect to see the talents of top local and international acts including TV stars, champions, and even performers travelling especially to perform in the theatre, cementing the Cape Town Magic club as Africa’s premier magic theatre.

You’re also able to enjoy pre- or post-show drinks and tapas in the art deco-styled ABC Bar or retro Twankey Bar around the corner, and special dining options are also offered in the hotel’s restaurants on presentation of your show ticket.

So yeah, taking place every Monday until 30 October 2017, there will be 2 shows at 7pm and 9pm.  So do join Marcel Oudejans, founder of the Cape Town Magic Club and producer of Monday Night Magic, and his awesome crew of talented peeps and turn your boring Monday evenings into something magical. (see what I did there)

Ticket prices are as follows:
