Enjoy sundowners, breathtaking views & the month of love at Tintswalo Atlantic

by Karisa

UPDATE:   This is such incredibly sad news, but on the early morning of 5 Feb 2019 a fire broke out at Tintswalo Atlantic causing damage to their lounge, dining room and public area as well as one of their 12 en-suite rooms.  Renovations are estimated to take approximately 5 months.  For more details – see Capetownetc’s article over here.

Tintswalo Atlantic is one of those extra special places you simply have to visit at least once in your lifetime…   The great news is that even if an overnight stay is not within your budget, you can still enjoy a taste of this gorgeous ocean-facing property, hidden away at the base of Table Mountain National Park & Chapman’s Peak by joining them for lunch, dinner or even just some sundowners.

Last week I joined a group of other blogger, media & foodie types to enjoy their picture-perfect, panoramic views of Hout Bay harbour & the beautiful Sentinel mountain peak, while enjoying some bubbly & G&Ts.   It’s without a doubt one of the best places in & around Cape Town to enjoy (and capture) the sunset…  let me show you what I mean:

So how do you go about paying them a visit?  All you need to do is give them a call on 021 201 0025 to inquire about availability.  If they’re fully booked, they unfortunately can’t accommodate extra guests over-and-above their overnight guests.  This is purely due to space limitations.  But if they’re not fully booked & have deck space and tables to spare, then they’ll happily welcome outside guests to come and enjoy their stunning setting.

VALENTINE’S ALERT:

For those who do have a bit of extra capacity in their budgets & who would like a real spoil for the month of love, Tintswalo Atlantic is also running a Valentine’s month special that’s definitely worth considering:

  • The package:  A romantic overnight stay for 2 including a light lunch on arrival with a welcome bottle of wine, 5-star luxury accommodation, a 4-course dinner and a leisurely full breakfast on the deck the next morning. All this for only R9890 per couple. (valid 13 to 28 February 2019).
  • Also:  Complimentary airport transfers are available, as well as a shuttle to the V&A Waterfront.

This Valentine’s package is a really great deal considering that their regular peak season rates are around R13k – R14k per room for double occupancy, and that normally only includes breakfast.

The Valentine’s special is only available via direct bookings and is subject to availability.  To book contact them on: 011 300 8888 or email res1@tintswalo.com.

Here’s some photos I took while there last week to give you an idea of what will be waiting for you during your stay:

Each of the 11 suites are named after an island – from Antigua and Ithica, to Lamu, Sicily and Zanzibar. This one is Sicily. All suites have a luxurious king size bed, a lounge area with a wood burning fireplace, a stocked mini-bar, and a tea & coffee station with an espresso machine.

The spacious en-suite bathrooms have sea views with walk-in showers, his-and-hers basins and Victorian baths with a selection of fragrant soaps and bath products.

Each suite also has a private terrace right on the water’s edge…

This is the pool deck…

And this is the view…

As you can see, a visit to Tintswalo Atlantic will be an experience you’ll never forget.  So get in touch to book that sundowner session, or treat-yo-self (& your significant other) to a romantic overnight stay during the month of love.  Either way, I just know you’ll have an incredible time.

xxx
