Orphanage, still one of the prettiest coctail bars around…
During the month of April, you can join Scotch whisky brand, Monkey Shoulder (you might remember that I went to their SA launch a few months back – you can check that out over here), at Orphanage for what they’re calling “Monkey Mondays“.
Of course, a huge monkey business lover myself, I had to go check it out…
What I can tell you is that on Monkey Mondays, SA Monkey Man and alchemist extraordinaire, Dane Walsh, is on hand to mix up some special Monkey Shoulder cocktails (AND each person in the door also gets a coupon to try a 30ml sample cocktail for free). Then at 9pm things kick into full gear with some soulful tunes from the very cool Ann-Jangle band.
Monkeying around with Dom Walsh who on the night was serving up a Monkey Shoulder Mojito which was by far the best mojito I’ve had in ages… (the cocktails change every week though, Dane picks two cocktails to make every Monday)
Ann-Jangle band doing their thing… this lady can seriously belt it out.
