Last week I checked out Rob van Vuuren’s new show Life which is currently showing at the Baxter until 28 May.
My date was actually someone who had told me that he hated Rob van Vuuren… So obviously I was nervous. But then again, seriously – who hates Rob van Vuuren!? Come now. I’d seen a few of his shows before and absolutely loved them, so I took a risk and thought, maybe I can change this person’s opinion…
Well let’s just say when I heard “my face literally hurts from laughing” after the show had ended, I knew I had transformed this man from a Rob hater to a Rob lover. Well of course I didn’t do much, Rob did all the work himself in his own awesome way, but I’d like to think of myself as the instigator of success.
What is Life all about? Basically Rob takes a funny yet real look at the mysteries, challenges and also (sometimes) cool surprises that life has in store for us. I think his message is one that’ll resonate with most and will definitely have you nodding away at frustrations that you have come across in your world too.
Tickets cost only R100 (and we all know laughter therapy is the best thing you can spend your money on – other than wine of course) & are available via Computicket over here.
The show starts at 8:15pm every night, Mon – Sat, and takes place in the Golden Arrow Studio upstairs at the Baxter.
Book now people! You certainly won’t regret it. Just ask my now totally converted former Rob hater. 😉
