I recently had the absolute pleasure of checking out the latest offering by Followspot Productions for the Kalk Bay Theatre, simply titled: ENCORE
Now I feel like I’ve said this a million times (because I love going back to the Kalk Bay Theatre again and again), but I’ve honestly never had a bad night at this awesome little theatre. You can literally be having the worst day ever & 5min into the show all that simply melts away…
ENCORE is no different. It is 70 minutes of pure singing, dancing, crazy comedic fun that deserves to be right at the top of your festive season to-do list.
Where their previous year-end shows used to be a cirque styled show with some French flair, this year they decided to bring you something different. Expect the same level of fun, but with more of a rock-inspired feel. Lots of singing, lots of dancing, and some very naughty humour in between.
Ticket cost only R190 pp and can be purchased online from the Kalk Bay Theatre website.
The show starts at 8:30pm (Tue – Sat), but the restaurant opens at 6:15pm for those who wish to join them for dinner before (and I do recommend that you make a night of it by booking a table).
Due to the adult nature of the humour, there is an age restriction of 16yrs. So unfortunately this one is not suited for the little ones… think of it more of a sexy night out for all the adults and the young at heart.
ENCORE finishes its run on 4 January 2019 – which I know feels like a long time away, but we all know how fast the festive season flashes by, so don’t delay – book your seats now before you miss out, leaving your life to be only an empty shell of what it could have been if you actually had watched the show. 😉
